P4 Spanish Horses has been a dream of ours for 10+ years. Cher grew up with Arabian horses and it seems that horses permeate the system and never leave! Even though she yearned to feel the warm breath of a horse on her skin again, we were busy raising 3 beautiful children as well as managing our budding crop farm. We are also dealers for Wensman Seed, so needless to say, we were always running! Patience was sometimes difficult to summons, but we waited and prayed for the right timing. Finally, in December of 2011, we were blessed with the arrival of our first Andalusian stallion, KBF Adoro. Our exciting dream of P4 Spanish Horses was finally being realized!
Why the name: P4?
P4 represents Philippians 4:13, which can be read at the bottom of all our web pages. This verse from the Bible has gotten Cher through some especially difficult times. There were countless mornings when her first thought upon hearing the alarm clock was, “Lord, I just can’t do this.” The response was a gentle stirring throughout her soul, “Yes, my child, you can. You can do all things through Me; I will give you strength.”
A few short lines before that is Phil 4:8, a verse which also has special significance in our lives. It reminds us not to lose track of what is right in a world where many people will do whatever it takes to get ahead:
“…whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure,
whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable
—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—
think about such things."
